For getting around Ste. Genevieve there are many resources available. Ste. Genevieve's Historic District is a walkable community, with several modes of public and private transportation available. While venturing outside of the downtown area into wine country or beyond take a trolley, bus, or rental car. To get back and forth from Illinois use the ferry located near downtown Ste. Genevieve. Stop by the Welcome Center for information and maps of the Historic District, wine country, and nearby outdoor activities and hiking trails!

Mississippi River Ste. Gen-Modoc Ferry

Daily: For pedestrians $2 per person, for automobiles $15 on-way or $25 round-trip.  Enjoy a ride across the Mississippi River to Modoc, Illinois, Fort du Chartres, and access to Illinois Highway 3.  To reach the ferry drive north on Main Street which ends at the ferry landing.
