On Saturday evenings, a Ste. Genevieve Ghost Tours tour guide will lead a fun-filled 2 hour haunted “history” tour through the historic district with tales of ghosts, apparitions and historical oddities.  On the 4th Friday


each month in addition to the haunted tour, you will make beverage stops at 3 historic locations!  Both tours are outside and operate rain or shine, and so bring an umbrella if needed.  Reserve online at and choose your date.  Gaslight Ghost Tours are offered Saturdays 8:00-9:30pm April thru October and cost $20 for age 13 and older, $12 under 13.  4th Friday Pub Crawls run 7:00-9:30 and cost $35 per person. The Bequette-Ribault House, located across from Le Grand Champ or the “Big Field,”  was built in 1808. It is a “poteaux-en-terre ”or “posts-in-the-earth” building, referencing its vertical logs built directly into the ground without a foundation. Ste. Genevieve


is home to 3 out of 5 remaining such buildings.
