"Make Me Smile"
A tribute to the ever popular band Chicago. Presented by Mineral Area College. Musical clips, video memorabilia and twenty-four of Chicago's greatest hits. From their earlier breakthrough material that changed how rock 'n roll was thought about to their popular 1980's power ballads, to their various theme albums, it will all be heard as they performed it, featuring some very talented MAC students and community musicians. Show created by Dr. Kevin White.

Kim Massie
Blues, R&B, jazz, gospel - all soulful and sassy. Her 2003 musical debut, It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues garnered her a Woody Award nomination and repeat run at the Kansas City Rep.

a.k.a. The St. Louis Trombone Quartet returns again this year. Performing jazz, swing, marches, doowop, classical tunes, R&B, polkas, blues, ragtime, Americana and more!

Hudson and the Hoo Doo Cats
"JumpSwingRockinBoogieBluesA-Billy" band founded in 1989 in Austin, TX. Over 4,000 performances mixing shufflin' blues, 1950's rock & roll and rockabilly dance music.

St. Louis Stompers
The Stompers have performed at many jazz festivals including the Bix Beiderbecke and Cedar Basin Festivals in Iowa, Suncoast Dixleland Jazz Classic in Clearwater, festivals in Fresno, CA and Ogden, UT and the Orange County (California) Jazz Festival. Past engagements include the Dixiefest at Clear Lake, IA, Great River Jazz Society of Hannibal, St. Louis Jazz Club, Goldenrod Showboat and countless parties and concerts across the Midwest.

Denise Thimes
Denise Thimes is unquestionably one of the fastest rising stars in modern jazz. So much, in fact, that when Queen Elizabeth II made her highly publicized visit to the United States in May of 2007, she hand-selected Denise as the entertainment for her private dinner gala with President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush among many other esteemed guests. Her brilliant voice as a perfect mix of "Ella, Sassy, Lady Day, Nancy, Dianne, and Carmen, to name a few"... sharing the stage with such jazz greats as Dr. Billy Taylor, Earl May, Benny Powell, Jimmy Heath and Tootie Heath.

The Sheldon Jazz Quintet
Led by guitarist Rick Haydon, The Sheldon Jazz Quintet features St. Louis all-stars performing straight-ahead jazz and swinging jazz standards! Haydon will be joined by acclaimed vocalist Mardra Thomas, and a rhythm section including pianist Reggie Thomas and bassist Miles Vandiver.

The Bel Airs
Together for over 20 years, the Bel Airs, fronted by brothers Dick and Dave Pruitt on bass and electric guitars, with Michael Cherry on drums, play a danceable mix with an authentic but eclectic bluesy-country-soul-and-rock-n-roll sound influenced by the likes of Wilson Picket, Slim Harpo, Howlin' Wolf and Johnny Cash.
